Mas de Sant Lleí, Venue for weddings in Barcelona, Just married in Barcelona.
On the 13th of October we had the pleasure of celebrating the wedding ceremony of Mohita, from India, and Ryan, from America, at Mas de Sant Lleí. Both of them are currently living in Washington. Thursday 13th, was the second day of celebration, and the beautiful wedding ceremony took place on the spectacular terrace of the rose gardens, under the canons of Indian weddings, with the special and emotional Hindu rituals.
The traditional Hindu ceremony is a deeply symbolic celebration, with several rituals taking place during the ceremony, each of them offering a deep and philosophical meaning and purpose.
What characterises Indian culture?
The ceremonial rituals, the symbolism, the floral beauty, the lighting, and the music along with the chanting… the result is truly a wedding full of magic, with character and how could it be otherwise, it is a tradition in “every wedding in the world” the abundant food, and the music in every moment of celebration.

It all started with a touching welcome….
The Welcome at the horse fountain next to the 17th century farmhouse. Friends and family gathered here to witness and share this special day with the bride and groom. We serve a hot Indian tea for the wedding guests.
Arrival of the groom by helicopter.
The guests stood on the magnolia terrace on the old fortress wall and watched the spectacular arrival of the groom by helicopter in front of Swan Lake. As he descended, the sound of drums and the singing of family and friends accompanied him to the fountain, dancing and singing along with him. A beautiful welcome that touched us all.
The wedding ceremony begins when prayers are offered to Lord Ganeshji for blessings of protection and removal of all obstacles that might appear in the couple’s life.
Rituals
Family tradition
Mohita’s hand is given to the groom and is symbolised by water flowing from the hands. The bride and groom and the bride’s father participate in the ritual.

After the emotional Hindu ceremony, the bride and groom were photographed in the gardens of the estate. A dreamy sunset accompanied them for the photo session, with a special reddish sunset sky that enveloped them in an idyllic halo of light.

The guests enjoyed an exquisite aperitif in front of the 17th century farmhouse, listed as a place of cultural interest since 1994. The gastronomic proposal was adapted to the couple, a fusion of traditional Mediterranean cuisine with other parts of the world, cooked by our own kitchen team, and a large buffet with traditional Indian cuisine prepared by the prestigious chef, Ivan Surinder.
The aperitif gave way to a large gala dinner in the Santa Justa room of the Mas de Sant Lleí estate and when the evening arrived, the guests and bride and groom continued with a large party and modern dance in the farmhouse.
